1,3-Propane sultone belongs to functional fine chemical new-type material. It can react with various compounds under quite mild conditions, accurately provide sulfonic groups, and endow these compounds with new properties (such as hydrophilicity, static electricity resistance). It is a good general purposed sulfonating agent, a kind of important medicine intermediate, and also the key material to synthesize important electroplating additive intermediate PPS, UPS, DPS, MPS, ZPS, POPS, SP, etc. It can also be used in brightening agent, dyes, di-ionic surface active agent, sulfonating agent and lithium cells, etc.
